Question about shields and req - Guild Wars Forums

If, for example I`m wielding a req 10 tactics shield with 16 armor, how much armor do i get? 8 or zero ? (my tactics level is 0)

You get 8. Any other mods on the shield, if any, still work regardless of requirement.
